Award-winning entrepreneur and Managing Director at London Sales Exces, Tom Harris addressed young professionals this past weekend as he took to the stage to talk about leadership development.
The conference was held on Sunday, September 23rd at the 4-Star Novotel London West. The invite-only event was attended by sales and marketing professionals from across the country. The conference was scheduled to bring together industry professionals and provide them with information to help them progress their leadership ability, simultaneously progressing their business development.
Managing Director at London Sales Execs, Tom Harris was delighted to get the opportunity to expand his portfolio of speaking engagements. Mr Harris was one of ten keynote speakers at the conference.
Delegates assembled in the Champagne Terrace for the 10 a.m. start time. The conference began with an introduction before some promotions took place. “It’s always really exciting to see someone progressing their career. It’s very motivating and inspiring for the delegates.” Stated Mr Harris.
After the morning session, delegates were divided into two groups depending on their level in the industry. Mr Harris was asked to address delegates in the second group, comprising of individuals with leadership experience. Each guest speaker was tasked with sharing knowledge and expertise on a specific topic. The five other guest speakers covered; how to have conversations, goals, day one to working solo, how to develop leaders and common concerns.
Mr Harris took to the stage to talk about developing salespeople into leaders. The experienced entrepreneur shared his insight, urging attendees to lead by example, building relationships with their team, and set long-term goals. “A business is built on strong leadership foundations and mastering the art of leadership is critical for anyone looking to make it to the top,” commented Mr Harris.
